Hey out there just to let you know that if you ever have the opportunity to run an open mike room go for it. I run one every wednesday night and we have gone from having open mikers and a feature who do twenty minutes to just all open mikers. It is awesome. Comics call me up and ask how and when they can get on and I am like, "Just come down and do a tight five minutes." They are like "is it that easy?" I love it. Last week we had 15 open mikers. It started at 9:30pm and went till midnight. It was like a comedy marathon. Plus it is at a bar that has a lot of flow through traffic so once one lot of people get tired of the comedy half way through the show a whole new bunch come in and sit down wondering what the hell is going on here. I love it as the mc because I can finally be myself I can try new material as well as talk to the audience it has been a real growing experience for me. Anyway if you can manage to get one off the ground go for it.
