bcddjjsc690,
wow, you saw Ted Nugent? so did I, but I think he was on his last leg when I saw him in the summer of 1980 along w/other bands including REO Speedwagon, Little River Band and Styx
but the rest of my list... and I'll try and go in order of age (and memory) and most of these were in New Orleans. I know there were lots more including other bands/artists performing w/many of these., but these artists stand out most
Ike and Tina Turner w/James Brown (hey I was 5 or 6 yrs. old and still have the suede outfits someone made for us in honor of Miss Tina)
Fats Domino
The Meters
The Neville Bros.
Ellis Marsalis
Dr. John
Jimmy Buffett
Evelyn Champagne King
Leif Garrett (I was 13 or 14 years old and first concert we got to see by ourselves, thought we were grown

)
The Jackson 5 ("enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself....", "let's dance, let's shout, shake your body down to the ground...")
The Cold (w/Vance Degeneres, always a good time, esp. the Riverboat concerts)
Rush (got into trouble for this one in high school, still remember the grounding
![Flaming Mad ]:o(](./images/smilies/flaming_mad.gif)
but I snuck out to go and it was in Baton Rouge

, but it was well worth it. was rumored to be last tour because band member had cancer. and Neil Peart is one of the best drummers out there, don't care what no one says!)
The Isley Bros.
Journey
AC/DC
Heart
Foreigner
The Rolling Stones
War (had an great time, and one of rare family gatherings w/uncles together)
The Clash
Rene & Angela
Midnight Star
Prince (several times)
The Time featuring Morris Day
Vanity 6
Maze featuring Frankie Beverly (almost annually in New Orleans)
Richard Pryor Live at the Saenger Theater in New Orleans (I still remember him talking about our hot ass weather!

)
Natalie Cole (can't remember who she toured with at UNO arena, just remember her)
Howard Hewitt
Robert Townsend
Eddie Griffith - Oakland, CA
The Dells
Tracy Chapman (one strange date, but enjoyed her performance)
The B-52's (always a blast)
Digital Underground
Soul II Soul (one bomb ass concert)
Heavy D (dum di-di-ly-dee)
LL Cool J w/Maya and a whole bunch of other artists, sad I don't remember all their names because it was a sold out summer jam
Mac10 - foe lifeeeee
Big Pun
SWV
TLC ("standing round in holy sheets, scared that you'll be called a freak....")
Etta James
Arrested Development
The Original Kings of Comedy - Oakland, CA and Charlotte, NC
US3 - thanks Bill Brennan of DMA Entertainment who went on to start cdnow.com
biggest regrets: never got to see Led Zeppelin live, or have seen Santana, or Smokey Robinson live yet. and couldn't see a Rick James and Teena Marie concert in Baton Rouge w/friends when I was in high school. they all came back talking about it nonstop. damn, damn, damn....
