nice pic of Rich an Epps......I think Epps looks enough like Richard to be Richard in the movie...his comedy is great.....all the others don't even look close to Richard....I will go see this movie for sure....it's a take!.....wrap it up!.... ...hell I just learned how to start a link...

I was wondering, considering all the buzz surrounding mike Epps in a Richard Pryor bio-pic. What are peoples opinions on "Jo Jo Dancer", I know that it didn't go down too well when it was released, but I really liked it, (hell, I even bought the soundtrack!)
I think that it was a bit too weird for people who usually expected instant laughs from a Pryor movie, but it had some interesting moments.

After reading Richard and Jennifer's book there is still alot of info to cover (trip to Africa) in this new bio pic.....plus I move that Morgan Freeman is offered the role of MUDBONE!!!!!!!!

..yeah that sounds about right....I was sad when Richard said he would do Mudbone one last time on stage....he was a very lovable character....I like when he was talkin about one guy an sed he used to sit in a chair in front of the general store an talk chit......it was his job....it mustah been his job.....that all he done....

That's a shame, 'cos Jo Jo Dancer is an interesting movie. Not really historically accurate, but it does cover Richard's childhood in Peoria.
As for Morgan Freeman playin' Mudbone....yeah!...that's inspired! In fact Mudbone should have his OWN movie, showing his adventures! My favourite was always the one where he went to visit the Voodoo woman on the "Is it Something I said" album.

Yeah, the book was deep, it actually showed you how much pain was behind the laughter. I also truly hope that the film brings out the "soul" of Richard to our screens, and finally lay it out so that people can see that this is one of the most artistic voices that the world has ever seen.
I'm still enjoying the idea of a Mudbone movie though. Nobody really knows how old he is, or if he's telling the truth or not. He could just turn up at dramatic moments in history and just add his sharp comments before shuffling off into the sunset!
