bcddjjsc690,

Growing up in North Carolina, I saw a whole lot off Andy Griffith, Ernest T Bass was the man with his little dance and the rock throwing. I went on his website and he was actually born in NY. Also I did not know that he only appeared in 5 episodes.

RIP Ernest T Bass. Hopefully he was buried in his UNI FORM!

amp-d,
I am a pretty big fan of the Andy Griffith Show ( though I only recently gave the episodes in color a chance ;))Even though it was probably only ten negroes in Mayberry me and my roommate used to watch alot of that show back in school.

It really seemed like he did more episodes too.I was surprised to find out he had alot to do with Sid Ceasar's show with Carl Reiner and Imogene Coca back in the day and used to direct alot too.

Also It looks like tonight they are showing all his episodes on TV LAND tonight. B-)
I went to Zimbabwe. I know how white people feel in America now; relaxed! Cause when I heard the police car I knew they weren't coming after me!

amp-d,
some character actors have left there lasting impression
upon some of our favorite sit coms. The Ernest T. Bass character was largely inhanced due to the popularity of the Barney Fife character played to the hilt by Don Knotts. And anybody who could get so deeply under Fife's skin was sure to be entertaining.
