A question for LA comics and friends

Ok so I turn 21 next week so I'll be able to play the clubs you only get one shot at being fresh so I don't wanna fuck that up I wanna start doing smaller clubs and work my way up. Anybody know of a good place to start?

To those who have helped me get gigs at bigger clubs I just want to let you know that I just need some time I wanna do this right I don't wanna jump into anything.

I have ony done one club gig and it was a nitemare I have done just about every cafe a comic can do now I just want to work my way up.

I know of an excelent web-site that lists open mics in almost every state it's called [/i]ChuckleMonkey.com[/i]

Just click on "Open-Mic" listings and a map of the United States pops up! No shit, it's really fuckin cool

You just click on your state and there they are-every open mic in that state that comics have taken the time to list.

You'll find everything from truck stop spots to A-Room Comedy Clubs.

Please take the time to list any open mics you come across on your own that aren't already listed ok. It's the only way that awesome list will continue to grow

Also if you know of any open-mics that are no longer going on but are still listed please update that listing as well. It's important to keep all that great info. current

I don't have a car I'm lucky I have friends cool enough to give me a ride to LA! I'm driven but untill I can get a car I have to work with what I have!
