Just seen 'Saw 2'
Not bad. Wasn't worth all the hype. Left it open for a 3rd.
I am however looking forward to Silent Hill due out in April. Based on a video game. Love the game series, I have played 2,3 and 4 on PS2.
All time scarey movie??
Hard to choose, I have seen so many. Love Killer Clowns From Outerspace.
I'm a geek when it comes to Horror.
Anyone seen Meet the Feebles? That was some sick shit...

Momof5,
horror movies are so predictable now. but the first time I saw The Ring, I damn near jumped out the seat when the GIANT girl came out the TV and then quickly moved forward.
but Halloween and the original Exorcist still gets to me.
Jason from Friday the 13th I just love to see him go buck wild and wreck stuff. when I was younger it took me a while to get over Nightmare on Elm Street -- the thought of something coming into your sleep.
I still remember watching Psycho as a kid alone after being told not to watch it at all. couldn't shower w/out crying for months. and my brother made it worse by standing outside the door making some of the music theme sounds. and when I got my own place I always had clear shower doors and curtains.
like that will stop a killer

tamra,
Ring was good. I saw both the american and the japenese version.Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Gloulies, Poltergiest scared the shit out of me when I was a kid. Another one that freaked me out when I was a kid was Pulse. I got scared of electronics for a while. "The Stuff" I liked because it was campy. Love Hellraiser. Children of the Corn. American Gothic was weird. I hate romantic comedies for some reason. Hubby turned me onto star wars and Lord of the Ring I have to watch the whole series like every few months. We played all the playstation games for it also.(geek). (nerd alert). Favorite cartoon..Spongebob

Momof5,
Hellraiser is my favorite horror film... actually a very deep story line AND SICK!!!!!
The so called horror movies today aren't horror movies to me.
"Motel Hell" is in my library and "The Hills Have Eyes".
Kind of excited about the prequel for Texas Chainsaw Massacre coming this year.

Now that Johnnie's gone, I guess I should start being nice to the cops.

robfharris,
I'm scared of any remakes of really good old horror because sometimes they can be too campy. I will watch em of course. But I'm a cheap bitch and will wait for it to come out at the library on DVD. Did see Dawn of the Dead and the theater. I will always be a horror fan at heart. From books to Movies to Video games. damn soundin like a Toy R Us commercial. I still watch old twilight zones, outer limits. Used to love tales from the crypt.
Guess I'm a real nerd huh?

Momof5,
oh I bought several Tales From The Crypt, the 1990's episodes. they were wild and funny. scariest one for me was the Santa episode w/the escaped killer, I was under covers watching first time. (why do we do that -- like if something's coming for you, they won't come under covers?
)
funniest Tales From The Crypt was with Kelly Preston and William Hickey - he played an old rich guy. she kept talking him into plastic surgery by switching body parts w/a younger guy until he became the young attractive guy, but he was broke, so she jumped over to new old guy because he had money

Re: Just seen 'Saw 2'
Momof5,
No, it's not going to be a remake. It's going to tell the story how the characters from Chainsaw became the way they are. It's directed by Jonathan Liebesman, he seems to be on his way to being the new king of horror.
He was just hired this week to bring back the Friday the 13th franchise.
He has two other horrors in the works, one I'm really interested in about a lady trying to prove her father didn't kill all his co-workers on an oil rig, the initial word is the rig is haunted by a new horror villian... finally, for us horror fans. Who was the last one "Candyman"?
He was also hired by the producers of the "Ring" to write and direct "The Rings". It's a 15 minute short that details the taping of the video tape that is being passed around in "The Ring"... for a short its WAY better than even the original "Ring". Try to get your hands on that short... it'll really freak you out. After seeing that I'm excited about anything this dude is attached to.

Re: Just seen 'Saw 2'
robfharris,
Then that(Texan Chainsaw) would definatly be something I would see. I used to love friday the 13 but there were a few that were too campy for me. Jason takes manhattan, freddie versus jason.
I really liked the 1st Candyman. Because that and bloody mary were things me and my friends did in like the 2 grade in the girls bathroom at school.
Do you remember Doctor Giggles?
Where is the Short of The Rings?
I think I may have found the man to go to for the horror heads up..

Re: Just seen 'Saw 2'
Momof5,
oh man, I totally remember that one. w/Jeffrey Tambour playing the fat guy. it was pretty gross.
but I was just thinking about Creepshow. that one was pretty scary and funny. I don't like creepy crawly things that move quickly or grow over skin. like Species wasn't scary, but that part where the cocoon starts to grow out of the skin -- still sends chills.
but in Creepshow the Gordy Verrill (Stephen King) meteor thing and the roaches coming out of Mr. Pratt creeped me out. but Mr. Upton Pratt good lawd one hilarious jerk!
and plus Leslie Nielsen looked like a younger version of my grandfather, so that was even more creepy.
and snakes, real ones, not animated ones, cannot deal w/those in movies. The Craft was a worst case scenario esp. because I wasn't expecting that scene when I first saw it. I still have to duck when house is filled w/snakes, bugs and rats.
