He is STILL here
I was just in the forum "Richard's Diary" and the very first post reads " I AM STILL HERE!"
& as soon as I saw that, I was like feeling really good because you know what, he is STILL here.
Richard's spirit and laughter will live on forever.
His presence is strongly felt on this board.
Peace & Love

Re: He is STILL here
tis2flyyy, everybody,
coincidence or whatever something happened awhile back that was kind of funny, I told Appaloosa about it just to get it off my chest but I really didn't want to say anything...well because ...I had to go to the emergency room a few days ago (aint nuthin) so I'm lying there looking at the ceiling and trying to stay calm so I'm thinkin of this n that and as always during ER visits and ambulence rides I started thinkin about Lawrence Welk and hopin I woke up in the wrong heaven so that got me smilin and thinkin about what you guys were yapping about...to be honest about something I don't get out much and I really appreciate having you all to talk to, you guys are way more important to me than I could ever express or repay...anyway while I'm thinkin happy thoughts somebody in the er was singing a familiar old tune..."I don't want a pickle I just want to ride my motorcycle"...anyhow it kinda freaked me out the next day when I was reading posts and saw that Jennifer had posted a letter from Arlo Guthrie while I was in the ER, file it any way ya need to but I just want to say thanks again to Mr. and Mrs. Pryor and everybody here.

Today, it is raining and in general very gloomy outside. I do not feel like being at the office, I am not really feeling it today.
So, I log onto this site and began reading some of Richard's Posts. I immediately felt better.
He is such an amazing person. Powerful spirit. He made a HUGE impact in this world.
He may be gone from this earthly plane, but he is NEVER truly gone. He will live on forever.
Your true fans will never forget you, Mr. Pryor. Not ever.
Thank you for leaving so much of yourself, for us mere mortals to learn from and enjoy.
Peace

Hey tis2flyyy,
I know what you're feeling. I was kinda bumbed out today, when my husband saw a pic of Mike Epps, and asked how was the bio pic of Richard Pryor coming along. I immediately perked up and started searching the net for some answer to his question. Though I didn't find one to that particular question, just remembering Richard and the legacy that he's left behind was enough to get me out of my dulldrums.
Even though he's no longer physically here with us. Knowing his legacy will be here long after we're gone does sooth my soul and for that I'm always grateful. For that, I must once again, "Thank you, Richard!!"

Hello everybody!
I am new here, but not new to Richard's work. I am so glad that this community exists, to salute the genious of comedy. In Norway he is known as well, but I was the first one in my community to ever listen to him. And many years later, many others have followed me.
Thank you Richard, for making me laugh and cry. May ou rest in peace. Just saw the show of Rain Pryor down in Australia today, and she had a sweet show, and it is clear that she misses you alot.

Re: He is STILL here
Bard,
welcome to the site all the way from overseas! Yea, my day seems to go better when I wear my Richard Pryor T-shirt. As of late people have been staring at it and complimenting me on it. Even on a T-shirt he's still keepin shit up!
I think what's so sad is not so much that he's gone cuz we had been sayin goodbye to him for some time, but there is no one to pick up that baton. His shoes were so big it's almost impossible to fill at this point. Think about it: Even in all of Eddie Murphy's glory days, he never could quite capture that magic that was Richard Pryor. He came closest, but in all his stardom, he just didn't have that...THING. It's like he was the first, the last, he was everything and there will be no more like him...EVER!
I miss Mr. P.
And much, much love to Jennifer for being a trooper through all of this and keepin the flame alive.
