deepseas,
Well, I guess it begins. Go to the bank today and they're doing "remodeling" work and one of the first things they did was install a complete new front door that acts as a metal detector for "weapons checks". You can't greet people anymore as you enter or exit the bank. One way in and one way out, with plate glass dividing the sides. The sign on the door says, "if you have a weapon, you will not be admitted into the bank."
Kind of an oxymoron isn't it? It looks something out of "Logan's Run". Probably scanning more than just weapons too. Very New World Orderish.
And there are two things I want to point out here now that I've seen here that seem to be messages of some sort masked in adverstising. Anyone with a brain can see something disturbing about these ads.
Downtown, there is a building that holds a huge (and I mean huge!) painted ad on one side facing the main street. Once it was a huge painting of Barry Sanders and then it was Steve Yzerman of the Red Wings. Then they covered it and said a new local celeb would replace it. Never happened. What did replace it is a huge ad for Pontiac automobiles with a red car at the bottom of the ad and like a ton of red paint seeming to drop out of the sky onto it against a white background. But to me, it doesn't look like paint. It looks like blood. That's the immediate impression it made on me and what's even weirder is the ad doesn't even say anything connecting it to what you are seeing.
Another one was for the All Star Game that was here this summer where they had a huge translucent ad of a baseball seeming to go right through the glass of the Ren Center. The joke is supposed to be that it was hit out of Tiger Stadium and they show the distance at the bottom. But for me upon seeing it, all I could think about was 9/11 and that plane going through the twin tower and how if a plane went through the glass structure of the Ren Center, that's about how it would look. I thought it was a tasteless joke indeed.
Am I reading too much into this or are messages being sent out on what is on the horizon?
