It's been often said that whenever you watch the "Wanted Live in Concert" video you'll always see something new to make you laugh, because there are so many layers to the performance.
Last Saturday I was hosting an entertainment show to raise awareness for poverty in Africa and the unfair trade laws. It was on the same day as Live 8 and it was one of several shows put on that day which all covered the same theme.
A few hours before the show, I was starting to get nervous, so I figured that I'd watch "Live in Concert" to relax and get in a good mood to introduce the acts later.
Shit, I laughed my ass off!! I've seen this concert thousands of times, but I can never get over how fresh it seems! The "new" joke that is killing me is when he has a fight with that kung-fu kid who kicks him in the balls! the delayed way that he falls over is fuckin' classic!!
I know that it must seem like us fans are singing the same song, but I can never get over how funny Richard Pryor is! Needless to say, the nerves were gone and the show was a success. Let's hope that the world leaders can do something to spread the same joy that Richard has given us.
