RICHARD..!!!! What? I wasn't shouting.
When I was a teenager, I was a student of Richard Pryor. I grew up on his records. Memorized every word. Drove my parents crazy. I can remember my dad staring at me. He said I paid more attention to that foul-mouthed Pryor than I did to him. I said: "Well...Dad, Richard is cool and you're a..."
BAMM..!! Never got a chance to finish that sentence.
Seriously, the brother is a national teasure. I have never truly met Richard Pryor. But, I have. He's a close friend of mine. He made us laugh and gave us the means to make it to the next day. Now we give that same support to him.
BTW: I get along great with my dad. Back in the day he listened to Redd Foxx.
