I first heard Richard Pryor when I was a teenager. I thought he must have TOO much nerve to be saying what he was saying. I thought he was a comedic genius, but I always though "Which Way is Up?" should have been nominated for an Oscar award. That his character admitted that his actions were ego related, especially at a time when many black men were pretending that their abusing the trust of the women who loved them was due to having been 'abused by the man' - that was due to the genius of this very real man. And I will always love him for it.
I think richard is a one time in a million years kinda of person.. he is a person that comes around once every million years and we should be thankful to live in the times to hear his comedy.. no other can hold a "match" to richard..so for the pun richard.. but i think he is the greatest of all times..
My uncle had MS and managed to do everything longer than his drs said he’d be able to… He loved to garden and we built raised planting beds out of landscape timbers so he could get around them in his cart…. He took great pride in his beefsteak tomatoes and shared with everyone. And no, he never changed. I have some understanding of what you folks are going through and wish you all the best. I’d also like to thank Mr Pryor for all the laughs, and for making us look in that mirror, and not take ourselves too seriously.
