Did anyone see this program last night? I was just told that they did a tribute to Richard Pryor during the show.

The person who told me about it was supposed to bring me a tape but I think I will have to wait until next week to remind them again.....

They told me one of the statements made was something to the effect of "without Richard we wouldn't be where we are to today" or at least something like that.

I'll be looking out for repeats.

Yeah I saw it!!
It was so cute - this lil boy came out and was talking about how he wanted to make money like Chris Tucker, Chris Rock, etc... Steve Harvey snatched him by his arm and had to explain to him that he wouldnt have none of these guys to look up to if it wasn't for Richard Pryor...that he better never run thru a list of comedians again unless he names RIchard Pryor. Then they ran a clip...of course, there was a standing ovation! Who wouldn't stand up and give applause to this man????

DAMN! I got to get a copy of that! Finally, some well deserved recognition! I know Comedy Central named RP the funniest comedian of all time and rightfully so. But BET is long overdue in acknowledging this genius.
