Tell me that would not be the GREATEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME!


This an off shoot of a previous post. I had always wondered if Rudy Ray Moore and Richard Pryor ever met or worked together. We all know that Richard was the greatest. Let there be no doubt! Dolemite was a hell of a man in his own right.

I started listening to Richard when I was 8-10 years old. I started listening to Dolemite when I was a little older about 14-16. This was back in the mid eighties when hip hop was just hitting his stride when I was introduced to the poetry of Dolemite. I mean you mix cuss words with rhymes... Dice didn't have shit on Rudy. I would burn my young ears. My buddies and I would memorize the rhymes and tell them to our friends. We even started making up our own rhymes and saying them on the bus dissing each other. It was kind of like the dozens with rhymes. We would have the whole bus laughing and scared because they did not want to be included in the rhymes.

It always was in my mind that my two all-time favorites would one day work together or meet. They both had a lot of street in their acts even if was approached different ways.

I could see the meeting going something like this...

Dolemite: I stuck my dick in the ground and turned the whole world around. I was born in a barrell of butcher knives, shot in the ass with two colt 45's! I handcuffed lightning..

sounds like a good idea---maybe best if worked as an animated feature along the lines of "bebe's kids"...just a thought.
