wake up to a phone call that i got a check for $6,000 from my grandfather overseas. needless to say, that will pay off the ol credit cardo, and gimme a bit of spare change to pursue dreams of comedy even more.
then, i headed down to west hollywood for my audition at the groundlings comedy theatre to move up to the next lvl of classes. i passed with flying colors. it was held by that asian lady from "whos line is it anyways" also... i think she was the toll booth operator in curb your enthusiasm? either way... she is a funny lady.
i had a nice turkey pastrami lunch
i went back to the valley, visited some friends... one particular friend gave me a nice big bottle of belvedere vodka for my birthday, i rushed home, and told the girlfriend she was driving. needless to say, i poured some directly into myself =D
we then headed back out to the groundlings. i got a killer deal on student tickets. so we (i) decided to see both shows (the sketch show, and the improv one). i had many friends along and it was awesome. they took us in through the back and let us have whatever seats we wanted before they even opened the doors. knowing the house manager rocks.
after that, we went to hooters for a texas steak sandwich and some beers. after getting pleasantly toasted... went straight home with the girlfriend.
funny how your shitty life can turn into something wonderful over the course of a day. course im missing a lot of details... but i think you get the picture =D
anyways ... just thought i would say whats been goin on. hows everyone else?
