Gareth,

Why hell yeah I want to see that movie!!Have you seen some of the things Trudy has posted in the Black Forum?I've gotten worked up about this movie!!

That movie is going to be great, I caught the tail end of Micheal Moore on "Today" this morning. He made good points.I also talked to a buddy who lives in a city fortunate enough to have it in at least one theatre(I am not as lucky....)He's going to see it (I actually turned him on to "Bowling For Columbine")so I'm trying to make a trip there to check it out and support the hell out of this movie!!
:)

After BFC he could have made a doc about moth migration and I 'd still be slightly interested, this movie just so happens to be dealing with a topic that pisses me off on the regular!!! ]:o(

dumbass,

I'm going this weekend (although it's already showing here in NYC)

I just wish that Moore had not been so partisan. I work on a conservative talk show, and all I'm hearing is how this film is full of lies and inacuracies. The problem I see is that Moore is immediatly discredited by those who wish to discredit him, and he feeds into it by being so blatantly anti-bush. If he had just taken a more centrist view and presented the facts, bush would fall on his own sword.

The right has so much amunition because Moore is known for stretching the truth to make a point. The problem I see is that he doesn't need to do anything but present the facts. The reason he does more is purely for entertainment, which works perfectly for people who agree with him, but fuels his critics to no end...

The video of bush is enough to damn him right there, but the people who really need to see bush for what he is will simply dismiss this film as a piece of propiganda, despite the fact that bush is caught on FILM being the "leader" that he is.

bingolong,

Saw it this morning, poingant, thought provoking, but mostly infuriating. Even though the prevailing opinion on this board is that Bush is either stupid or evil, to what degree I'm not sure can fully be appreciated until viewing this film. A must watch for all, Moore doesn't give democrats a pass either, he is rather critical of their lack of backbone and tacit complicity with the events of the last four years. I pray this movie is seen by everyone with two eyeballs and a brain.

astonamous,
Yeah I saw the first showing here today but have been so busy getting ready for tommorow that I'm only now posting.

First of all only one theater in the city, packed, to capicity, audience member had an accident (see my post in Black Forum) Damn near cried on some scenes, damn cursed at Bush at the screen in others.Crowd ovation was capped off by the fact Bush ended the movie fucking up a Tennessee saying! What I heard from audience members in line to go into the theater:"lot's of differrent age groups"......"hope there is enough seating this line is long"
I enjoyed it and will probably be back to see it Sunday!!!!
Can't wait to have more discussions about this movie and while I'm at it

astonamous,

Went to see it tonight. I didn't realize it would be such a sellout! No, I'm not saying Moore sold-out. EVERY show was sold out except 12:15, and my g/f was falling asleep by 10. Oh well, maybe tomorrow...
