smjmcomic,
this was shocking and sad. for some reason I thought of Carlin as someone who'd be around until the last person left, just to say I told you so in some sarcastic way.

tamra,
Yeah me too....I was up late last night and they were running footage on ABC from '99 I figured they were talking about his upcoming Mark Twain Award (which was long overdue)....we just lost the greatest living comedian....second only to Richard Pryor in my eyes.....but I bet its some wild party going on in the afterlife whereever those two are....

tamra,
Thanks for pointing me here I Tamara I just posted in the water cooler last night as I was completely blown away. I watched his latest HBO special Its bad for you Just a couple weeks ago , I cant count the nights I have been in a shit mood and pulled up an Old Richard Special or Old George Carlin special and neither ever failed to make me feel better and laugh my ass off no matter how many times I have heard them . Though I am sad at the loss of such an Icon and I know that he will be greatly missed just as Richard is he lived to be 71 one he gave us over 30 yrs of laughs and he was never afraid to tell the world and the Gov. just how fucked things are !
R.I.P Ya "old fuck"
And by the way IM BACK BITCHES ... SINGLE AND ONE THE MOVE!!!

astonamous,
My oldest memory of George Carlin was as Al Sleet the hippie dippy weatherman,
I had the extreme pleasure of seeing him in concert ,in August of 2001 ,
He was a master of the English language,He was pure Americana
I don't know how his act translates across other countries ,
" Why do we drive on a Parkway and park in the Driveway ?"
Bottom line he was funny as hell, and he will be greatly missed.

Carlin was absolutely brilliant. He and Chris Rock were/are the only two stand-ups who made me laugh anywhere near as hard or think anywhere near as deeply as Richard.
RIP.

astonamous,
Salt Lake huh? wow! there is a God. hehe
is this what you meant from the e-mail?

actually this was 1st thing that came to mind when I heard Carlin died
But I'm wondering who is God's booking agent. That mutha now has Richard Pryor, and George Carlin and some helluva good sidekicks like Phil Hartman. I wonder if we can trade Carrot Top for all of them back
(no offense to Carrot Top

)
by the way, Carlin's bit in Dogma is priceless. plus his role in Prince of Tides stands out as well.
abnormalandbitchy,
heeeyyy!! throw ya hands up!! (the extent of my rap career

) glad to see you back! AND YOU GO GURLLL!!
don't tell JTF u r single! he'll come-a-runnin, then he'll never leave, feets all up on the table & shit, looking @ like "u ain't got no more beer in this bitch or what?!"

then you'll have to kill 'em, then we'll all be back here posting great JTF moments while awaiting your trial, yaddi, yaddi, yaddi. just tryin' to help, Ike ;-p
