Anybody have a friend who is always broke?

I do. I love this guy and talk to him a few times a month. He lives in Studio City but for the last 15 years it's always a depressive conversation about how broke he is. To me it's obvious he's asking for money. At first I'm like putting hundreds in envelopes and wishing him well but now it's like.."Hey man . This has been going on too long!" He's healthy but just doesn't want to work. Ah I don't know.

Sounds like some of the bums in my area. I work downtown and there's always able-bodied individuals who panhandle. What's worse is they really "ham" it up around Christmas time! Crying. Limping. The whole nine yards! The Star of Hope Mission is just up the street. But noooo...these people aren't really needy, they're just lazy.
Just today, I saw a homeless dude rapping on the street. He was flowing too. I told him he was in the wrong genre of music. He should be singing the blues, country & western or something. But I gave him some change because at least he was entertaining.
The worse are the competitive bums. They have signs and they go all out. One was on crutches panhandling. The other in a wheelchair. Hell, one was laying on a gurney with an IV in his arm...ahhhh capitalism..

All of these broke azz bee-yotches who call themselves my "friend". I always buy the drinks and they never have no dough!

one thing to keep in mind though is the majority of our homeless have mental problems and Reagan kicked their ass into the street in the 80's.

yep.......some of the worst is i seen them on the access roads to the freeway .........the ones you get off on.....an they are there standing there with signs ......i know one girl that was dressed better than me....panhandling there....then they may go to the side where they parked thier cars an go off to a home better than yours.....we seen one guy that there was a whole bunch of restaurants a block away an i know he went down there for lunch......cause he can afford it from the panhandling......
