Working This Weekend
Can you believe I'm actualy working this weekend? Somebody actually wants me to do stand up. The Fools! Actually this will be my second time performing at this particular venue -- because apparently management didn't learn their lesson the first time. Well in a desperate effort to appease the gods and have a great set, I apologize for every bad thing I've ever said about anyone! I love you all! I even like Reiser, Sykes and Carrot Top. There. That should do it. I'll let you know how tonight goes the next morning.... <---(my own laugh track)

BTW, the show was cancelled. I showed up and everything. Nothing. Me and two other comics just stood around waiting for a show to start that never did. They could've at least told us.

Heck yeah, I'm taking them back! Screw everybody! I know. I know. I'm a very petty person. I attended the Houston's Funniest Person Prelims last night. Dont' worry. I didn't perform. In fact, they paid me not to! I did, however, have a few friends that did.
My pal Danny Rios stole the show!!!! There were 12 peforming that night. Half of them I knew. Some did well, others not so much. I love them all nonetheless. But Danny was clearly the unequivocal winner last night! You all need to watch for him. He should be blowing up soon. I view the contest different than others do. Rather than say this person was good and another was bad. I view it all in terms of growth and development. Of all the comics last night, Rios was at the pinnacle of evolution. I've heard his stuff a million times. But last night, it just flowed out of him....
