Moms, lists, & other shit.

Richard posted in his diary about Moms. Love her! She was beautiful. I have several of her LP's and laugh my head off! Some of the jokes lose some of their punch after almost 50 years, but if you can put yourself into the mindset of what life was like in the 50's... 
Moms, Redd, Pigmeat, and Lenny Bruce (who I recently became hip to thanks to Mr. Pryor) were trailblazers and funny motherfuckers too! They killed just about all the comics that are thought of as "funny" by the establishment today.
Richard brought Moms up due to the lack of inclusion on the "100 best comics" list. Fuck lists. When will they ever end? The only list I wanna see from now on is a list of why lists suck.
In the same vein as lists are the various "Hall of Fame" museums that pop up around the country. Is there a Comedy HOF? If not, good. If there is it's filled with some of the obvious, and a lot of shit filler. Does Bob Goldthwait belong in there? Not if you ask me, but someone out there loves his one stand-up act he did. Just look at the Rock & Roll HOF. It's a complete pile of bullshit. Wait til they run out of the old guys and have to start putting in acts like New Kids on the Block. OK, that's a bit extreme, but does anyone need to see New Edition celebrated as one of the great groups? I like their songs, but I don't need to see Michael Bivins there unless he's pouring a coke.
