A Poem for Jennifer to Richard

Dear Friend,
This ones for you and Richard. For even the heavens wept....
RAIN
Living in a dreamland,
Sitting on stones in an endless plain,
of vibrant flowers, jade grass,
draped in sunlight, kissed by the rain.
Tears run freely down my face,
My soul is heavy, my joy is slain,
My heart is stopped,
My life is without sunlight, soaked by the rain.
My husband, My friend, I love you so..
How long will this pain go on?
I need you, I want you, but now your soul is
kissed by sunlight and hazy with the rain.
My love for you will never cease,
Sitting on stones in an endless plain
For all eternity, breathing your name,
draped in sunlight, kissed by the rain.
This ones for you and Richard. For even the heavens wept....
RAIN
Living in a dreamland,
Sitting on stones in an endless plain,
of vibrant flowers, jade grass,
draped in sunlight, kissed by the rain.
Tears run freely down my face,
My soul is heavy, my joy is slain,
My heart is stopped,
My life is without sunlight, soaked by the rain.
My husband, My friend, I love you so..
How long will this pain go on?
I need you, I want you, but now your soul is
kissed by sunlight and hazy with the rain.
My love for you will never cease,
Sitting on stones in an endless plain
For all eternity, breathing your name,
draped in sunlight, kissed by the rain.
