i used 2 LOVE coming here and rreading all the posts and updates, and just knowing i was that much closer 2 a true hero. we all felt close 2 rich and jen...and now that he's gone, it makes it hard for me 2 return...guess it's part of the healing process...i will return and try to ease the pain and emptiness...yes, rich will leave b hind his comedy and legacy...but just noing he's gone, well....its just hard, is all

I know what you mean about it being hard. But try and remember that coming here links us all brought together by one man through the greatest emotion..Laughter.

When you come here and post and talk to each of these members, hell.. even if you dont type and just read you keep his memory alive and well. Not to mention the fact that we give back to Jennifer for all she patiently went through helping Rich to see how many of us he still touched.

When you think about it we are so lucky because we got to be around when all his magic began. We got to touch it and have it touch us back. So please dont stay away because it great to be around a bunch of people who actually get the joke. We truely are lucky motherfuckers!!!!

Mr. Pryor spent his whole life and a lot of money turnin his pain into our smiles, the pain is understood but ya gotta turn it into a laugh somehow, someway...besides man it's sad enough living in the "aint no place to go fishing" capitol of the world so lets hit Dyer, Juarez avenue or Montana and raise a toast to TMIC...I'd pick some more upscale places but I aint allowed in any.

Yeah, I feel that. It gets strange sometimes, i think that most of us just chilled a little bit since december. I then read your "He's still here" post and it was like a wake-up call. I've been listening to some of Richard's albums recently and it's been difficult to raise a smile knowing that he's passed on. But then I'll hear one line that will start me laughing again.

because at the end of the day... he's still richard pryor!

for me it's certain images that make me stop and stare. it's either the pic of him as little boy, or the one w/the red shirt on and one eye kinda raised and a sly smile. it's an overwhelming feeling because RP brings back so many wonderful and painful memories of your own life at the same time.

The joke that got me smiling with Richard again was the one where he's watching a porno movie in a cinema and laughing. Then someone turns around to him and says "Ssssh, don't you have any respect?? some of us here are trying to cum!!!":lol:
