mainstream media

*how* can the mainstream media be impacted? such that people receive fair reporting of news, as in present info and *allow* people to think, not be *mind-fucked* to death?
I was just thinking about the O'Reilly's, Humes, Gibsons types and how there is always a *twist* on their version and it feels like I'm watching a cult in action. and to make matters worse, suggestions and comments "to explain the situation" are solicited from the Coulters, Limbaughs, Lotts, Gingrichs types.
it all feels like a bad movie, I can't get my money back, and the theater manager is out in the alley getting blown by the movie's producers
