though at the time all she wanted to do was sit on a bus, she was able to help change the world in ways no one could have imagined...

astonamous,
you know i was kinda thinking the same thing..i mean REAGAN dies and omg..there are stories after story about how he was gods gift to america..he did this did that..and she dies and i know of no tv specials the aired about her, no big DATELINE show dedicated just to her..where is the respect and honer she deserves? i bet though at JUDY COLLINS concert i am going to next week there will be more talked about her than on the news..it is kinda sad..

ed broeth,
yup while the media was covering Bush gate and the next object Lindsay Lohan ran into, I was channel surfing the night she died. everyone else ran their usual coverage, including Bill "my opinion is most important" O'Reilly, Nancy "oh did a non-black disappear?" Grace, and all the others had NOTHING on Rosa.
Tucker Carlson was the only one who actually set aside programming time for Rosa on the night she died. Bush should have spoke immediately as he did when Reagan died.
and I can't think of one significant accomplishment of Reagan. yet major news that was actually occurring was set aside for him. the only thing that I remember him by is calling the Black Panther Party "animals" and "savages" after the group staged a protest in regards to their civil rights. the nerve of those blacks!!
but I can think of how Rosa touched billions of lives worldwide and gave people courage to take a stand or be punked for the rest of their lives. that alone is powerful.

astonamous,
I did and it was followed by the heat in the white house. 2 historic events on one day: celebrating the good and getting rid of the bad.

She was and always will be a great inspiration to anyone who fights race segregation in their day-to-day lives.
Things have changed alot in the past years since her personal stand against racism but there is still much work to do lately especially with the actual american policies worldwide.
