I just signed up today, and thought i'd tell ya about the first time i ever heard about this dude called Richard Pryor,
I was in the usa 1981 or 82 for the first time racing BMX,(im from Australia) and i met this black dude at the races in florida, anyway he had this old tape cassette of this dude called Pryor and he let me listen to it (i was 16 i think at the time) the tape was 1974 but i cant remember what the cassette was called, can anyone remember that cassette??? i still got it at home in Australia, see i thought it was that funny that i swapped that dude 2 pair of corduroy billabong surf shorts for that cassette, I took it back to Australia and it just blew people away.....after i swapped the cassette i thought, FUCK, i got ripped off, but i played that cassette so many times at home with my friends and it bought so much happiness, we all would piss ourselves laughing at that cassette, we would all imitate Rich which was really hard to do because of our thick aussie accents, but we still had so much fun from a cheap ass cassette, from then i was hooked on Pryor, hey, i hope everythings going ok in the Pryor household, another candle here burning for ya dude.....I gotta lot of laughs outta that cassette even though i had to wear the same ol shorts in the usa for 3 weeks since i swapped my 2 other pair.....
