Anditsdeeptoo,
it seems we may be getting closer to the people realising what they have running their country. The arse hole still wont admit that teams of scientists have proven that global warming is a rapidly expanding problem. The idiot is unbelievable. ]:o(

astonamous,
The approval rating is going to get worse. He was a president elected without the "popular vote", so what do they do? They start a war, knowing that this country does not like to change administrations during a war.

Now he can spend the last few years of his presidency and try to get the conservative agenda firmly in place. Usually a President has to take into account how his policies will affect his Vice-President's Presidential aspirations, but considering that Vice President Dick (hey that's his name) only aspiration is to eat a pork a dinner without having a triple bypass behind it... The Bush administration can do what they want without any concern for others.

We are at an interesting period. Just like LBJ put into place programs that were beneficial to poor Americans, that took Republicans over thirty years to destroy and some they, thankfully, can not get rid of: the Head Start Program and Affimitive Action. This administration seems to be creating a structure that will beneficial to only the wealthiest 20 percent of this country for a couple of generations.
Now that Johnnie's gone, I guess I should start being nice to the cops.

astonamous,

I stuggle with the idea that 48 percent of people still support him. I hate the fact I have disdain for a whole segment of our country that is so blind and self-serving they can't see the path of destruction that lay at our feet.

I have a confession... when on the road, I will not let a person with a bush sticker in traffic. I will intentionally cut them off, or otherwise attempt to fuck with them. I understand two wrongs make a wrong, but damn its good therapy.
