How I discovered Richard Pryor......

.....I can clearly remember sitting on a school bus in 1977 in rural Tennessee, talking to a friend of mine about watching the Richard Pryor Show, both of laughing our white asses off. We hated it got cancelled, but understood your reasons(Censors are idiots).
.....Around the same time, my brother in law gave me his copy of Bicentennial Nigger, which I enjoyed with my girlfriend (and later wife), until our divorce (the bitch still has my copy of this record).
....most importantly, early exposure to your work, opened my eyes to a lot of prejudice that was around me, and in the world. You changed me as a person.
I guess what I am trying to say is that you do a great job, not just as a comedian, but as a human being: you bring people together, you make them laugh, and you make them think about shit they normally wouldn't. You have done priceless, important work.
Thank You, and take care!
