Living here in Raleigh we have a comedy club here called Charlie Goodnights. I don't know whose heard of it but it's been here for a long time and it gets pretty big names, Dave Chapelle will be here this coming weekend. I was wondering if Richard ever performed there or anywhere else in NC or if anyone on this site is touring and would be in the area?

rsmayton,
Great club. The first time I played it was 85 with Hicks. I've done it a number of times over the years, and it's always great.
It was one of the 80's boom clubs. By that time Pryor would have been way too big to play a place like that -- however I've worked there with Hicks, Taylor Negron, Wolfberg, Ronnie Shakes - so the place did have some of the smaller comedy legends on its stage.

rsmayton,
I worked CG back in the 80’s. A guy name Tommy Williams use to be the owner. Worked there with Shirley Hemphill, Rosie, Frankie Bastille (RIP), and Rob Bartlett just to name a few.

rsmayton,
Great club, I performed there in March of 01 with Angel Salazar. Had a lot of fun. I am originally from Rocky Mount and hope to perform there soon when I visit my family.
