Richard! A big influence....

I'm just another 46 year old white dude who you had a big influence on. I know your fans are the elite of comedy and Hollywood, but your influence has been so widespread and much more than just the celebrity layer.
For years a group of us spent countless hours living in the Richard Pryor world - Yeah, we were high most of the time, but long after those days I have to say you have continued to be an influence on me - on the way I think and on the way I treat other people. Even though I have lived a traditional white boy life and even voted for Republicans some times, you eliminated prejudice for me, and you make me think of the funny in everything, even things that in the end, aren't necessarily funny.
I hope that even with the advanced stages of MS you are able to appreciate your influence on regular people like me. I go to my regular job every day and have raised a family and been married for 20 years or so, but even sometimes when I lovingly tell my kids its time to get up for school, I can't help but say "get your ass out of bed motherfucker."
Recently at a football game I stood at the urinal next to my 13 year old son. I said "this water is cold." I knew we had a special bond when he said, without
hesitation, "yeah, and it's deep too!"
Please stay in touch with your unknown fans like me via your website. I am so happy Jennifer has been able to be the rock you needed to deal with MS.
You are a lucky man. We all love you!
THANK YOU RICHARD!!!
