I Hate People.

A few years ago I had an accident.
I was trying to get in better shape and thought that rollerskating would be a good idea. Plus, there is a decent amount of nice looking pus-say down in the park that looks so good rollerskating around...
So I buy a pair of $200 skates, strap them on, and fall on my ass. Ok, so that's an oversimplified version of what happened. I ended up staying on my feet for all of about 30 seconds. I wipe out pretty bad and end up in an ambulance.
Long story short, four days later I am taken off morphine and released from the hospital with a shiny new plate and six screws in my wrist, and a stunning back brace to hold my spine in place while my crushed vertebrae stablizes.
So now, 2 1/2 years later I buy a bike. It's a nice bike. I haven't ridden a bike in about 12 years, but like I explained to a friend... Riding a bike is like fucking, you never forget how to do it!
Sunday I gave the bicycly its first run. I went about 3 miles. Nice, scenic ride. I took the train home because my legs were killing me, my back brake went out, (and I have to drop the kids off at the pool.)
WHat makes me hate people here is that whenever I mention the bike, people feel the need to make a comment like "I'm not coming to visit yo' ass in the hospital." Even my mother called me Sunday night and said "So I guess that you're not in the E.R!"
I just want to take this opportunity to say to the world "YOU AIN"T FUNNY, MOTHERFUCKERS!!!"
