I have always been a fan of Richard's for as long as I can remember being able to sneak and watch cable without my parent's knowledge....
But moreso when he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. This disease is some scary shit, and it's even scarier when you think that you are alone in it.
When I was diagnosed in 1991, knowledge about it wasn't as readily available as it is now. So that made it really fucked up!!!!
But then people that mattered to the media started getting diagnosed, that must have gotten the world off of it's collective ass...now there is much improvement and HOPE in this world.
