Do Richard and George Carlin know each other very well? I know they were both in the movie CAR WASH, but did they REALLY know each other?

I think his comedy has changed over the years since the '70s. He went from a goofy, insightful comic to a very bitter man. He went from "Who got the blue food" to "Here's a list of people who outta be killed." I still think he's hilarious. He's coming here April 19! I can't fuckin' wait!!!!!!

Anyone else out there see George Carlin before? This is the first time he's coming to my hometown and would like some info on his shows. So, if anyone out there has seen him (especially this tour), please give me some insight.

Yeah, didn't he say "God is the leading cause of death." I've never seen him live but I've seen and heard a good amount of his work. He's cool, or at least he seems to be...

If you ask just about any comedy fan who there favorite comic is chances are its ether Rich or Gorge.

Rich and Gorge have given so much to the art its not even funny and I can't tell you guys how lucky were are to be able to enjoy Rich and Gorge's comedy. The type of comedy that Rich and Gorge have given us is the type of comedy that will stand time 20-30 years from now people will still turn to old Pryor/Carlin albums when they need there real comedy fix.

Oh man his look has changed thats about it still as edgy and sharp as ever.


It was crazy to see Bill Hick on comedy central I did not belive my eyes but I won't be happy untill they give a special of some sorts I feel the same about Sam to comics who left us way too soon.

George Carlin just filmed an [/i]Inside The Actor's Studio[/i] with James Lipton..(who I think over acts MORE than William Shatner if that's possible)

Anyway he asked George..."Who taught you? Who influenced you? & he began to name names that George had given him prior to the show & the last name Lipton read was Mr. Pryor's to which he replied:

[/i]“Richard is a supreme artist who took the black experience, such as his was in Peoria, & a particularly interesting childhood & exposure to certain aspects of the world & a nack for retaining all of that & turning it into these magic characters."[/i]

I absolutely LOVED hearing him make this statement! Not only b/c I agree with it but b/c the reverence in his voice when speaking about Mr. Pryor is the same kind of reverence we ,the next generation of comedians, use when we discuss him

How beautiful of an example for Carlin to set for us. That being...You need not hate on another comedian if he or she is better than you. Instead admire them & learn from their talent
