In Peoria there was this club-The Brown CLub. I went and asked the owner for a job playing the piano. When I played and sang- I tried to sound all smooth and Steve Gormez like and he saw I was bullshiting him, cause I never played the piano before- he laughed his ass off and told me:
"Your a funny motherfucker, you should be a comedian."
He hired me as a comedian and I told lame ass jokes with my friend Sonny Stetson punctuatin my tired old jokes with the drum. That's how I started. How I became a comedian is a whole other matter for another day. Jenny's tired of typing.
