I have been a fan of Richards for many years. I first heard of him when I was in 4th grade when a friend brought over one of his concerts on record. We sat and laughed our asses off most of the night. The best part about Richard is he always talks about life in ways that make you laugh and think while your laughing. Ive been blessed enough to hear,or see almost all of his tapes, cd's, and movies. It's been a sad world since the king of comedy has not been in the public's eye. Yet now that I know about this web site, I can come here to to read the witty words of the king and his fans. long live the King Of Comedy and may his life be long and blessed!

:p ;p

briandamiged,
Sure Rich isn't in the public eye as much but he is in many of our minds' eyes. Fortunately we have vinyl and CDs, videos and DVDs to bring the man into the house every day if you want. This is my second mention of the boxed DVD set (which I'm not getting commission for) - if you love Rich you have to have it. I listen to discs from it every couple of days. I have a high rotate of my music CDs but at the moment Rich is the man from my comedy collection. Listen to Miles 'Sketches of Spain' then listen to Rich's 'Here and Now' = God given greatness.

Orwells cousin, I'll have to checkout that DVD set. I just got finished watching "The Richard Pryor Show" on DVD, which led me to this site! I never saw the show when it aired originally (I was about 8 when it came out in '77) and was surprised it lasted only 4 episodes. It was funny as hell and Richard was very ahead of his time. If only they had HBO comedy shows back then....he would have ruled!!
