Guess I need to introduce myself...I've been a lurker
here the last four months or so.

I'm GM of a major Media company (the Austin branch) and usually
a stress bomb (self-inflicted). Many a-time, the only thing that
made (makes) me smile in the office are the "cut-up's"
of dougdigitalpro, bingolong, JTF, dumbass, andit'sdeep.. , Jennifer
etc. Thanks, y'all!! It's like the family I WISH I had...

Y'all have a SAFE Fourth. I plan on staying in and killing a 'fifth.'

dumbass,

Well...

I'm originally from the Bay Area (moved out here to become a tour manager),
so I will say the following:

A) it rained 13" in JUNE alone
B) the heat index today is 105
C) The cool funky clubs are no longer here, replaced my corporate
ones (did A-Town REALLY need a Hard Rock?)
D) The police here are the WORST; especially on the Eastside.

Other than than, it's still HIP, but a mostly FAUX HIP (wannabe's).

I wouldn't live ANYWHERE ELSE in Texas, that's for sure...next time you're through here, drop me a line and let's par-tay!

I spent some time there when it was kool-ashame to hear about the Hard Rock-that's depressing-I even played some of those kool, divey, funky clubs!! They are all gone-now that's some sad shit!

Jennifer & dumbass,

About the ONLY funky-ass place left is the Broken Spoke.
All the rest are new corporate-scum attracting Hollyweird
wannabe clubs.

I know what you're talkin' 'bout, dumbass... The loop
is now called "Silicon Hills" and built-up (with empty
buildings). When the lightening strikes the transmission
tower, it's BADASS!
