bcddjjsc690,
PREACH ON!
Of course, Richard is my ACE #1 of ALL TIME, never to be compared, rated or duplicated. THERE IS NO COMPETITION!
I am also really feeling Kat Williams right now - he is funny as hell! Just saw him this past weekend at the Gibson Ampitheater at Universal City Walk. Him and Melanie Camacho. LAUGHS!! If they come to your town, check them out....it is well worth the cheese!
BY THE WAY - THE ARE BROWN PEOPLE - COMEDIANS THAT HAVE BEEN FEATURED ON DEF COMEDY JAM, KAT WAS IN ICE CUDE FRIDAY AFTER NEXT MOVIE AS THE LIL' PIMP, AND MELANIE AND KAT HAVE BEEN ON BET COMIC VIEW MANY TIMES. IN CASE SOME OF YA'LL WAS LIKE - WHO THE HELL ARE THESE PEOPLE!

tis2flyyy, of course Ritch. after doing stand up for two years now, it's hard for me to actually laugh at the standard set up punch, set up punch. The people that crack me the hell up are Zack GAfalofocus or whatever his name is from the Comedians of Comedy, Chris Rock who i think is just the all around best in the game. Chappel of course, so many others, I work with comics all the time that should be famous but they had kids and settled down in sac where there is all kinds of comedy runs around. Like Del Van Dyke who should have his own sitcom. I agree about Ellen, that lady is funny as hell at stand up, and she does it clean. which really fucks it up for the rest of us.

My personal favorite just has to be Michael Richards he is just so funny and the thing that i like about him most is that he keeps his cool while on stage and that he gives alot of money to Black organizations

My favorite growing up was Bill Cosby. I have every one of his albums. Since I was about 6 I would stack his LP's on the turntable and every friday and saturday night I would listen in bed. Stack them 10 high. When they were done, turn them over til I fell asleep. I did this until I was about 16 every weekend. I know to this day every syllable to each of those routines. "To Russel, my brother with whom I slept" is my favorite but they're all great. You know Cosby and Pryor had a great fight scene in I think a black remake of "The out of towners." Of course after seeing Richards first comedy movie. Where he did his stand-up I was totally blown away. You known Woody Allen was also great although I have trouble finding any of his 60's stuff.

Mudbone 115,
i have many favorite comedians that i love to listen to and watch.
i dont idolize anyone...i think i am my biggest fan of comedy.
and thats how life should be..you should aspire to be like yourself and no one else...
not to take away from the great richard pryor..
if you listen to my comedy on various websites..you can see how watching and listening to pryor has influenced me..sometimes i dont how it happens..but when i watch my own video i see it..

mojones,
just like richard i love comedy..but i cant spend my valueable time praising everyone else...lol
i have to praise myself also..
but past self promotion ..i have a very rare video interview with richard pryor while flming..stir crazy with gene wilder and as i once heard jennifer say on a documentary about rich..he may have been "slightly" wired..
but he said some important stuff in that interview aboutwho he looks upto..
he said i look upto bank four...basically saying its not about anyone else ..he had to get his paper doing what he dis so wonderfully...
he was paid 1.5 million dollars and this was remarkable for the time..and even when he got paid more than chris reed in superman three...
his focus had to be on making his craft better..so he could provide for the ones he loved..
i may be very wrong or right in what i say..
ask jennifer ..she know way more than me..
just wanna be as honest as possible with my feelings..
forgive me for self promoting...
but what better way to gain fans than from an inspirations fans ...especially if i have some kind of love for his comedy and it shows in my comedy sometimes.
thanks,
your friend~rick carter
