Hey Gareth,
Thanks for the compliment on my post. Other aspiring comics are the hardest people to make laugh so I feel proud to have made you crack a smile
Thank you honey

$425....heeell no. somebody's smokin' too much of that dro. I got a couple copies of his book on ebay for under $20, hard cover and in in good shape. But if it's being re-published, you might as well hang on for a sec. It's real good. Not only is he a comedic genius, he's a hell of a writer. True artistry. Another Pryor book I think's worth checking is "If I stop i'll die". All the other's I've looked at besides that aren't worth your time.

cire,
for the record, If I stop, I'll Die, is a piece of crap-it's a clip job they put together from all other books-
Richard's and mine are the two realest books with great war stories and love!jenny

I wasn't aware you'd written one. What's the title? I'll have to check it out.

Hey Cire,
My sentiments exactly but you have to realize the Rare Book Store is located off of Madison Avenue in Manhattan--one of the wealthiest areas of the country. There are more Billonaires, yes that's Billion with a B, per square foot in Manhattan than in any other part of the WORLD. I communte there everyday for work from my little apt. here in Queens, it's a completely different world than what people like you and I are used to. Those people I wait on everyday, $425.00 to them is like 42 cents to you and me. Is $425 an unreasonable price for a copy of a used, unsigned copy of an autobiography about a man who's still alive of course it is but that lady will sell it for that because of the area she's in. Capitalism at it's finest honey.

Jennifer,
"The Strand" ??? I've never heard of it. Is it like a rich person's boutique or something?
Yes you're right about that ol woman still ripping those rich people off. It sucks and it isn't fair but hey Jenny look at it this way...the woman hasn't had sex in 35 years, let her go ahead and get $425 for Mr. P's book. Maybe she'll buy a bronze dipped dildo with all the extra money she makes from it. Does "The Strand" carry high priced dildos for rich snooty bitches like her? I hope so. If she gets one of those, she'll be able to release some of that pent up hostility:lol:

Hey Jenny,
Is Mr. P. going to a chapter to his autobiography about living with M.S.? I realize this would delay it's re-release but I think it would be well worth the wait considering he has managed to not only keep from becoming bitter but is still grateful to be here with us. This could inspire a lot of people to be more grateful for what they have instead of focusing on what they don't. What do you think?
