smjmcomic,

Writing - D - I've been writing, but no comedy gold...
Energy - C - I'm getting better with that, but I'm having an epiphany, comedically, as to where I need to be.
Stage performance - D+ - Most definitely improving, but there are, uh, a few things, um, I'm doing as a novice that need to, uh, stop.
Productivity - A month ago A!, but as of today... C- -I'm getting kinda burnout on life. And comedy is 1/3 of my life, so it's been on a downslope for the last two weeks or so.

I know this thread went off of this topic, but I needed to vent these concerns. This is kinda my "funny shirt phaze", though, I'm not actually wearing it. I'm really trying to find my comedic niche and being true to myself. This begins the quest for my voice. Weird...I never thought it would be so blatantly obvious finding one's voice...

I think I'm entering a lull that people start to suck at the beginning, because of laziness, naivity to the art, or whatever. I definitely need to stop and take a breather and re-evaluate myself and my act, which I really haven't done since I started doing comedy in Seattle (2 months or 20 performances ago...).

Right...I'll stop now.

Jane

jane_haze,

Comedically, my SAT score has a negative sign in front of it.

smjmcomic,

lately it's been harder to write new jokes...and shows are still not as consistent as I want them to be. I'll just be obtuse and give myself a G.

NickFlanagan,

smj-

I believe we need to put an effort/work ethic/attendance catagory on that card. Because that, I would definitely get an A...maybe even with two pluses! That's the only real thing I'm proud of. I've been hitting the open mics three times a week for about a month, and I don't see me stopping that any time soon. I've been sick, I've been depressed, and I've had little to no crowds or right-winged republican crowds to work with, but I've gotten on stage!!!

jane_haze,in the past couple of months I've got a bar stool thrown at me by a heckler I gave hell, a table full of other hecklers walk out of a show, and uhm..kind of got a open mic closed down because I clowned people at the bar not paying attention pretty hard..so I'm not sure how to grade that
