smjmcomic,
Writing - D - I've been writing, but no comedy gold...
Energy - C - I'm getting better with that, but I'm having an epiphany, comedically, as to where I need to be.
Stage performance - D+ - Most definitely improving, but there are, uh, a few things, um, I'm doing as a novice that need to, uh, stop.
Productivity - A month ago A!, but as of today... C- -I'm getting kinda burnout on life. And comedy is 1/3 of my life, so it's been on a downslope for the last two weeks or so.
I know this thread went off of this topic, but I needed to vent these concerns. This is kinda my "funny shirt phaze", though, I'm not actually wearing it. I'm really trying to find my comedic niche and being true to myself. This begins the quest for my voice. Weird...I never thought it would be so blatantly obvious finding one's voice...
I think I'm entering a lull that people start to suck at the beginning, because of laziness, naivity to the art, or whatever. I definitely need to stop and take a breather and re-evaluate myself and my act, which I really haven't done since I started doing comedy in Seattle (2 months or 20 performances ago...).
Right...I'll stop now.
