We received an awesome package today from a friend of Bills'-Kevin who runs the site-Sacredcow.com. He working on a pretty kool project and wants some quotes from 'the man in charge!'
He put together all these kool tapes and some cd's and some awesome shirts-Richard is devouring these tapes as we speak. Very kool of kevin and I know Bill is watching and is very happy.
Remember his wildlife fund!!

I haven't heard anything about the dvd. I am also in search for it! I've seen a few vhs versions on ebay and that's about it. Check these books out: Ladies and Gentleman, Lenny Bruce and The Essisntial Lenny Bruce. If I find a dvd copy, I'll throw you a line......
As for Bill Hicks, I love the guy and being from Houston he is a town treasure. Growing up he was always talked about and was the city celebrity. It's a shame he went when he did. The face of comedy lost a smile as soon as he passed.

I'm so THANKFUL he's not letting Bill's memory or his AMAZING talent be forgotten! As a huge fan myself, I'm not either! I've actually been corresponding with Bill's Mom ,Mary Hicks, about doing a Tribute Show for him during the 1st annual NYC Stand Up comedy Festival in November.
She's been SO fucking AWESOME Jenny! She just LOVES my enthusiasm. I'm going to donate ALL proceeds from the show to his Wildlife Fund
If it goes well, she'd like for me to do it EVERY year!!!
Is she fucking COOL or what? I was completely honest with her from the beginning-I told her that I've only ever produced Open Mics but never a show of this caliber. She wrote back and said she didn't care b/c I was the first person since the press release about the festival who contacted her about doing a show for her son and that Bill wouldn't want a corporate conglomerate to produce it anyway!!!

Hell, I just got into Lenny Bruce thanks to the reccomendation of "The Man In Charge!"
I happened to have gone thru this life without ever hearing of Bill Hicks, until now... Maybe he never got on Def Comedy Jam! (Ok, that shit was only funny on occasion.)
