This is my first post on the boards here, and since about the only thing I love more than great intelligent comedy is my family, this looked like the right place to introduce myself. My wife and I have 5 'kids', all dogs. I'll attach a pic of my eldest, Wulfgang Rasetsubo, and perhaps later post pics of the others if there's interest. I'm on my lunch break or I'd post them all now. Wulfgang is half German Shepherd, half Chow.

btw, I work for Hill's Pet Nutrition, a great company that has many of the greatest Veterinary minds in the world working to make the lives of companion animals happier and healthier. I'm just a schmuck in the print room tho, not a Vet myself.

Wulfgang is a handsome soul! I would love to see the rest of your canine kids!!! Thanks you for telling us about Hill; do they make a vegy food for dogs?

Jennifer,

I honestly don't know. I don't think there's a veggie Science Diet, since dogs are naturally omnivores, but maybe one of the Prescription Diets are. I'll ask monday.

My first attempt to reply here with pics of the rest of my family didn't work, so I'll try just attaching one photo and see if it works. If so I'll put up the rest.

Well that was Chris, Wulfgang's daughter. Later on I'll tell the story of Chris and her deceased mom and siblings, but it's a long, sad story. For now, suffice it to say that Chris and her daddy are survivors.

This is Lilla. I saw her standing outside our yard one day, and since we lived pretty close to an interstate I brought her into the yard so I could read her tags and call her vet. We found out her address, but her family had moved away. All we know about them is that they named her Lilla, and they must have had small children. Lilla absolutely loves kids, it's kinda sad as we don't have any for her to play with.

Lastly we have Ondoval and Toni. A couple years ago we took in a gal who had 3 daughters and was trying to make it on her own and failing miserably. We helped her out, helped her kids in school and whatnot, but it turns out the bitch was just too fucking stupid to be a parent. No interest in what her kids were doing, just wanted to be a kid herself, etc. They left after a few months, the kids going to a grandmother, but Ondo and Toni were left behind. When they moved in they were covered in fleas, had worms, and were terribly skinny. Toni was used to catching birds or squirrels for food, just scrounging. Ondo was just a little pup. They'd lived in a shithole in kentucky. Now they're happy and healthy. Toni would eat the shit out of a squirrel if not for our fence, some thing never change. This is Ondo.

your dogs are so cool. I'm on my first puppy but I can't remember what life was like before her. Can't remember really! Your dogs are so cool, congrats and thanks for posting. Brings happiness to us all..

I'm sorry, I forgot to post an answer to your question. We don't have a truly veggie diet for dogs. The closest is the prescription d/d rice & egg, which uses egg instead of meat.
