This royally pisses me off....it happened here in a small community in Ky last year..young girl was not allowed to bring her seizure dog to class. Parents of other kids were screaming the dog might attack their children or cause allergy problems...
The family took it up with teh school board nd they finally allowed the child to class. Really upset one of the people on my lsit since she trains service dogs and said all her service dogs are rigoursly temeprment trained and would not attack anyone. And she noted that service dogs are essential to these people leading normal lives. She wrote the school board as well. I think she may have had some influence in the boards decision. She also provides dogs to nursing homes, childrens hospitals, etc...
I allow them in my shop, of course, and I think it is wonderful to witness that human/animal bond/partnership...
