Primates

Post by Ross T »

As an avid animal lover and college primatology student, there is a huge epidemic occurring in South America, Africa and Asia. Many of the 200+ primate species are either endangered or vulnerable to extinction. As the need bushmeat industry continues to grow, many apes and monkeys are teatering on the edge of extinction. Many of the great apes, which are our closest living ancestors are most threatened. The common chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes) and the bonobo chimpanzee (Pan paniscus) as well as Mountain gorillas and both the bornean and sumatran orangutans are losing precious time. There are many different sites that will accept donations, time etc.... Check it out...........I want my kids to know what a chimpanzee or a gorilla is.

Peace,

p.s. As a canadian you have our deepest condolenses, we still like you guys............FUCK BUSH!

There are many sites but check out some of these

www.primate.org (list of all projects they are involved in)
www.asp.org/conservation/ (american society of primatologists)

www.gorillafund.org/ (dian fossey gorilla fund)

www.janegoodall.org (famous chimpanzee writer)

There are many sites out there, choose based on what concerns you. If you are specific species there will be a site dedicated to that. If you are into helping provide grants for research there are also sites for that. Thanks for viewing this topic,

Peace
