I just finished this movie. Wow. Shit. Damn! Mr. Pryor, that was some acting!
The star of the film could have been better, but once Billy Dee started assembling his crew it really took off.
Why is it that Richard Pryor, funny motherfucker esq, is funny as hell in a comedy, but absolutely kills it when acting in a drama? Talent. The motherfucker is expected to be funny, but the natural ability comes out when in a drama. This might just be my favorite RP performance yet! (Either that, or it's the tequila) ;p
