The Jennifer Tree - A poem from my niece for my birthday!

Post by Jennifer »

The Jennifer Tree
With love
by
Jane Kevlin Riggins

Her branches shelter
Creatures great to small
All are welcome
It’s always like fall

The harvest is plentiful
Enough to go around
No one here ever goes to the pound

A heart so big
It holds so much love
She is the fallen angel
Sent from above.

Her cause grows tall
Her branches reach wide
Everyone can see and looks on with pride

Her fruit falls far
And plants seeds of likeness throughout
Perhaps someday the whole world will shout…

Open your eyes and see the light
The animals need us now,
Won’t you join their fight.

Jennifer,
Id say she hit the nail on the head "Everyone can see and looks on with pride"
Behind every beautiful thing there is some kind of pain - Bob Dylan

Jennifer,
Your neice seems a little on the sweet side. How nice she wrote this to you. She must love her aunt Jen. Just don't set it to music and perform it 10 years from now at a family function accompanied with a kazoo without her permission.

walrusjk,
Whoa! I don't even remember posting my last response. I was reading the poem, for what I thought, the first time. Anyway a commercial was on tv which had the old song....
Walk right in
Sit right down
Baby let your hair hang down

You know that old classic. I started doing that tune as I was reading the poem. Change a few words and it might work...
