BUSH DOESN'T READ SHIT...

Post by Jennifer »

WHO READS WHAT? (updated)

1. The *Wall Street Journal* is read by the people who run the country.

2. The *Washington Post* is read by people who think they run the
country.

3. The *New York Times* is read by people who think they should
run the country and who are very good at crossword puzzles.

4. *USA Today* is read by people who think they maybe ought to run
the country but don't really understand The New York Times.
They do, however, like their statistics shown in pie charts.

5. *The Los Angeles Times* is read by people who wouldn't mind
running the country--if they could find the time--and if
they didn't have to leave Beverly Hills to do it.

6. The *Boston Globe* is read by people whose ancestors used
to run the country and did a far superior job of it,
thank you very much.

7. The *New York Daily News* is read by people who aren't too
sure who's running the country and don't really
care as long as they can get a seat on the train.

8. The *New York Post* is read by people who don't
care who's running the country as long as they do
something really scandalous, preferably
while intoxicated.

9. The *Miami Herald* is read by people who are running another
country but need the baseball scores.

10. The *San Francisco Chronicle* is read by people who
aren't sure if anyone runs the country,
but if they find out who does, they oppose all them.
There are occasional exceptions if the leaders are
handicapped, minority, feminist, atheist, or gay --
provided, of course, that they are not Republicans.

11. 'HOY' is read by two Mexican-American businessmen and a
gardener in Boyle Heights.

12 . The *National Enquirer* is read by people trapped in
line at the grocery store.

13 . Nothing is read by the guy who is running
this country into the ground.

Jennifer,
i had read this today and i thought about just how true it is

"Their generation is being sent to war by old men who never went to war themselves. As I write this 3,334 soldiers have died in a country that was destroyed...not by Sadam Hussein, not by Bin Laden...but by the wrath of our own president and the hatred and terrorism he has galvanized. No one even knows how many thousands of Iraqi citizens and children have died in the aftermath. We entered a bad place and we made it worse. "

abnormalandbitchy,

the casualty count is a lot higher because of other countries involved, and unreported casualties. the 3,000 mark was hit about 6 months before the U.S. total reported casualties reached 3,000.

Italy, Denmark, Netherlands, Latvia, Scotland, Estonia, Australia, Thailand, El Salvador, U.K., Ireland, Spain, Bulgaria, Poland, Ukraine, Slovakia, Japan, and Canada are involved. Italy and U.K. have had the 2nd highest casualties. and U.K. is still the most forthcoming and immediate about its casualties.

I can no longer keep up with the requests to add more names and tributes. but I'm constantly reminded there's a face, family and story behind every casualty. and I doubt Cheney-Dick even reads their names let alone looks at their faces.

by the way, this is why I don't ever believe in ghosts. because here's a serious case for several to appear daily around Capitol Hill.

astonamous,
"more dog food being sold in this country than there are dogs"...which makes me wonder how many poor people who couldn't afford to buy groceries have recently died from eating dog/cat food.

If NutBush read anything he'd realize feeding the poor is a lot more important than bombing them.

astonamous, It is a shame the American people cannot count on the press in the US to tell the truth. When I want to check out a story from a differant view point , I tune into CCTV China `s satlelite news station broadcasted on Dish Network. It is amazing how well they are speaking English. I do not have enough time to watch all the news channels read all the papers and sift through all the bullshit and even if I did it would not do me any good,it would just piss me off more. Life is too short. People should pray and then go vote in 2008 and maybe the next person will do a better job in office.
