That was beautiful - what you wrote.
I think you are blessed and lucky. To gage your situation - it is all good. ALL GOOD.
But I stand firm on how I feel.
You may have semi-good people left out here - maybe...but something is wrong with their azz too!
My girlfriend says that I am extremely picky.
Basically, I am blessed, also. My dude is a cool guy. Laid back, even tempered, meticulous. Things I like in a man.
However,
In my experiences, though, I have seen a lot of messed up guys. Nine times out of ten, he got that way because of what some girl did to him.
I even had one guy tell me, "If I am not having fun, then I am gone". Meaning, if I did not dance to his tune all of the time, then he was not going to call me anymore. and to make it so bad, this fool had the nerve to act like he was all of that. And he had issues - several of them. You know I cancelled his azz with the quickness.
I have met the cheaters, the fake ones, the broke ones, the no-having-an-education ones,the ones that want to ride on my coat strings, the one with only sex on the brain, the unfaithful ones, the ones that do not know the meaning of the word LOVE or fidelity, the ones who are grown as hell - and clearly can not take care of themselves - wanting you to tak care of their old azzez, the ones who look at your booty and not your inner beauty, all of those foolz. I have met hood nuccas, straight laced dudes, business men, firemen, policeman, military men - all kinds men. I have even met the $800 million dollar man, himself! AND something was wrong with ALL of these foolz!
As a matter of fact, I can't seem to look back on not even ONE guy and be like - oh now, he was Mr. Perfect! I can not even remember meeting an almost Mr. Perfect.
In regards to being the mate you want your mate to be....good advice. Just hope and pray that the person you are dealing with is astute enough to recognize and emmulate....ya feel me?
Or your azz will be putting on a show, for nothing.
But one thing for certain, you will not see me running around, hollering like - "I am perfect, something is wrong with everybody else!" Bull Sheeeiiiiiittt! I will not blatantly call a brother out - but trust and believe, I will already know exactly what time it is even before I start dealing with a brother - his azz probably ain't about shit. & I will continue to think that way, until he proves me wrong. In this regard, we are direct opposites.
You see, I trust NO ONE but God. Humans have a nasty way of always letting you down. I safeguard myself, always. It may be the "looking at the glass half empty" viewpoint, but it works for me. It is much better that way. Even though you want the world to be a better place, folks are so corrupt these days - even if you smile warmly/innocently in your greeting - next thing you know that fool is trying to get your telephone # with bad intentions on the brain!!!
Naw, I am straight. Once upon a time, I looked through the rose colored glasses, extended those I met with a line of credit and 99.8% ran their creditibility with me - straight in the damn ground. That is why now, folks have to earn their way with your girl, here. I am not even trying to floss.
Your thoughts were quite refreshing, made me think about things.....probably why I typed so much!
