LOL You know it's Gilbert Godfred who does those commericals. They picked just the right comic for them cause Gilbert is a strange duck himself

Re: New Question for Mr. Pryor
Alright, I'm gonna try to write my message again and I hope goes through.
I was trying to respond to what jennifer said about Mr. Pryor's MS and some of it's symptoms. I feel you on the depression thing because I've been dealing with that most of my life with my mother having it and I've had bouts with it before. But I'm an artist and I kinda think it comes with the territory. I just finished my first feature film which we shot last year and I've been in post on it for the last three months. I thought I would be happy when I was finished with the editing but i just went into a straight funk and got all bummed out. I think it's because now I have to go out and start doing promotion and dealing with "people" again. The shoot liked to killed me, so I am a little frayed and still getting over that and the editing allowed me to be to myself with the film which is the most enjoyable part. That's where you truly get to create. So now it's all done and I have to get back out there and I think I'm a little fearful of how people will respond to it.
But I'm getting bearings back and I'll meet it head on. A question to Mr. Pryor,
How did you feel after you directed Jo Jo Dancer? Did you feel as vunerable as i do right now or did you just say, "Here muthafuckas, chew on this!" I would like to think the latter to be true. I also have to say that is a little gem of a film. One of my favorites. Raw and honest. Very underrated. Anyway, depression is a monster you just have to let in sometimes and hope the muthafucka can find it's way out and leave. And when he does, it's usually always better than before he came. If he doesn't leave, just pull out that ol' Louisville slugger and commence to beating his ass!
Much Luv, Mr. Pryor and Jen
Keep the faith.

Re: New Question for Mr. Pryor
Yeah, JoJo Dancer was great. Melancholic and affecting. Light years better than Ghost Dad. For some reason I've wanted to watch Pryor movies since I was a kid. First it was Critical Condition, and then JoJo. My parents wouldn't let me watch either movie.

xirdneh, dougdigitalpro,and everyone!
Richard fought depression most of his life-complex, intersting, smart people just do and of course, it's famous amongst comedians...it comes with the territory-and you have to almost make it a friend. Yes-RP was depressed after JOJO; after giving birth, it is always a sad, empty period following. I've had it after every project i've completed. The most important thing is to be aware of it-and talk about it-don't be afraid of it-or hide it or be ashamed of it! If it get's really bad, seek help. I have done so, Richard has as well. Life is a hard go-sometimes we need help to navigate these waters.EVERYONE HANG IN-HANG ON AND KNOW IT WILL PASS!LOVE JEN AND RICHARD
