thanks for posting this. I just paid my respects to her in March of this year by visiting her burial site. she is buried just 10 minutes north of Harlem, in Ardsley, NY - in the same cemetery as so many other incredible folks.

The more I learn about her the more I see how she really had a big hand in shaping the way we do comedy.
She really did break the mold in so many ways. She is to comedy what Rosa Parks was to Civil rights.

Moms was a pioneer. Not just for black comics either..but for female comedians as well. Her material was unprecedented for the time...
