Yeah...announcing yourself as being great is a curse. It never works out that way. I believe the classical greeks referred to this as hubris! Pride goeth before a fall and all that. Remember the Jerry Seinfeld documentary a few years back with Orny Adams? That's a perfect example. Most of the film the guy was declaring himself as being among the greats...even getting George Shapiro as a manager. Where is he now? I like Orny..not trying to dis him..just making a point. It's better to just be funny and let the rest take care of itself.
