Richard night on BBC tonight 8))

Post by blumustard »

Tonight on BBC:

Lenny Henry presents a documentary chronicling the life of the comedian who passed away in 2005. Pryor had many setbacks, including numerous failed marriages and an infamous incident when he accidentally set himself on fire while using drugs. However he also had a successful career, starring in films such as Brewster's Millions and Superman III. His reputation as a charismatic and entertaining character enabled him to top Comedy Central's list of the 100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time Contributors include Billy Connolly and Whoopi Goldberg
Also "Live in concert" movie.

Gonna get me a six pack and a blunt and watch it!!

blumustard,

Hi, i saw it. I loved the old footage of Richard in his pomp there was nothing like him. Lenny Henry is a big fan I know but the interviews with people were too short, wanted to hear more from Billy Connoly, Russell Brand and Eddie Izzard, basically UK acts that have ben influenced by richard but they only had small bits. sandra bernhard seemed a miserable bugger maybe that is her persona but flippin eck love cheer up. all in all anything on richard is great.

Jennifer,

All networks are fucking bastards!
I hope the dutch Endemol (creator big brother, fear factor)
die a slow death one day.
All the networks that surported and reported the lies of president Bush should burn in hell too.
I once saw a map of all worldwide networks and who owns them when I was working at an erotic channel. Some scarry shit.

The big writer John Le Carré just had his last TV interview ever.
You would think it would be on the BBC or an English network but no.(I bet he thinks they're phonies too).
He did it for a Dutch broadcast company.
Pretty amazing interview about the world today.
Things you don't hear on American TV.
What he says about Africa,Iraq,America and the entire world is a must see. What a smart kind man.
I got streaming link B-)
http://www.vpro.nl/programma/tegenlich ... s&x=26&y=7 - John Le Carré'

At 3 minutes 25 seconds it starts in English. The intro is in dutch.
Some parts are in dutch but the whole interview is in english.

Jennifer,

Yeah, I was actually wondering the same thing. To me it seemed as if they bought a couple of DVD's and played out some of the extras as "exclusive footage"

go get 'em Jen!

Peace gee
