why do they call them HUMANE societies?

hell here to rant and rave for a secound if no one minds
today i recived a call from a friend i work with at a local NO kill shelter the story is this a few weeks ago we racived a call from our local "humane" society" telling us about some kittens with Cerebellam (spelling) hypoplasia
(basic the same thing as a human with CP
we offered to take these kittens to to find them a home and told the "humane" society that we would place them in foster care untill they were placed
the shelter also had severl outside parties wanting to take these little ones in but did anyone get them no!!!!! the were put to sleep
how fucking rude
thats like putting a child to sleep because its no perfect

One of the funniest, and saddest things I saw on the Simpsons was the sign on the Springfield Humane Society: "Treating Animals Humanely For 7 Days."

aint that the frickin truth that why i like my shelter it has a no kill policy no matter what we work with the animals there should be more of those around
